Most influential person in my hockey career is: New Jersey Devils defenseman Vladimir Malakhov

Career highlights: Marcou was a member of Long Island and New York State championship teams at the Squirt and PeeWee levels in 2001 and 2002. The PeeWee team took a silver medal in the nationals in 2002, and his Suffolk PAL Junior B team was a national finalist in 2005. He made the New York State select teams as a 14-, 15- and 16-year-old, and also participated with the Islanders′ Quebec PeeWee team before that. He was the third star in the Bantam Junior B national finals and was named to the Elite Prospects Michigan team.

Ultimate goal: to play Division I hockey

College interests: UMass-Amherst, Merrimack, Providence, Vermont and other Division I Hockey East schools

From his coach: "He has good skills, but this year he′s a rookie," Bobcats coach Aleksey Nikiforov said, "and next year we′re looking for more from him. Next year, he′ll play more and he′ll probably get much, much better."
